Aromatherapy

Holistic aromatherapy aims to support physical and emotional well-being by supporting the body’s natural ability to heal, balance and maintain itself. Aromatherapy can be described as using aromatic essential oils, naturally occurring plant oils with distinct therapeutic properties, to support physical and emotional health. The most common way to use essential oils is to add them to massage oil, though they can be used in other ways too.

I select essential oils with each client at the start of every treatment; oils are blended to suit personal needs and desires and no two blends are the same.

I combine the art of aromatherapy with deeply relaxing massage and bodywork techniques. Contrary to popular belief there is no set style of ‘aromatherapy massage’. I discuss massage pressure levels with clients at the start of every treatment which can vary from light touch to deep tissue work, depending on client need.

Initial treatments are preceded by a 20 minute consultation which allows me to learn more about my clients’ health and wellbeing, enabling me to structure each treatment accordingly - please allow 90 minutes for your first treatment. Subsequent treatments are 75 minutes.

“I have had several amazing treatments with Emma, all of which have been completely personalised and deeply therapeutic. During the treatments, I feel a sense of deep release, intense relaxation and an amazing feeling of being utterly cared for. Afterwards I have felt different benefits - a sense of calm, being energised and rebalanced.”
