Meet Emma
A little about me
I qualified as an Aromatherapist and Massage Therapist at the beginning of 2000, training at the Institute of Traditional Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy.
Over the years I’ve worked in a busy multi-disciplinary therapy clinic, provided chair massage for large companies and volunteered for a charity working with adults who live with HIV. I love spending part of each summer in fields, massaging at festivals. I also worked in the world of mental health for many years, mostly alongside my therapeutic career; understanding some of the complexities of the mind enhances the treatments I offer my clients.
I am committed to on-going learning. Throughout my career I have completed a wide range of advanced training courses from essential oil chemistry to fascia-focused bodywork skills, training at highly respected institutions including No Hands Massage, Jing and Essential Oil Resource Consultants.
My personal learning journey is not over, but it has brought me to a place where the treatments I give are informed by our ancient teachers, as well by contemporary massage approaches, anatomy, essential oil chemistry and research.
I enjoy writing blogs for Material Aromatica (suppliers of exceptional essential oils and aromatherapy products) and for professional aromatherapy journals.
I am an experienced educator in aromatherapy, massage, anatomy & mental health. See Learn for details.
